Who stands behind the work, and who does it
ESD GreenTech is governed by a board drawn from REHDA Malaysia's own leadership, overseen by a management committee of practising developers, architects and engineers, and delivered by a small accredited technical team. All three are listed here, because in certification work the answer to each question matters.

ESD GreenTech is a wholly owned subsidiary of REHDA Malaysia, and its board is drawn from the association's own office-bearers: past and serving presidents, treasurers and secretaries-general. That is the substance behind "By the Industry, For the Industry": the practice answers to the industry it advises, not to outside shareholders.

Between the board and the practice sits a management committee drawn from people who build for a living: a developer, an architect and an engineer, each active in REHDA Malaysia themselves. They are the reason the advice stays grounded in what a project can actually carry.
Lindy Tan

Chairlady, REHDA Johor; Executive Director, BCB Berhad
A prominent leader in the Malaysian real estate industry, currently serving as Chairlady of the Real Estate and Housing Developers’ Association (REHDA) Johor. She is known in the sector as the “Iron Lady” for her transformative and resilient leadership.
She balances that institutional role with her position as Executive Director of BCB Berhad.

A highly accomplished professional architect and real estate leader in Malaysia.
He serves concurrently on the Management Committee of ESD GreenTech and as Project Director of Peridot Development Sdn Bhd.
Jason Hiang

Close to 15 years of engineering experience spanning air-conditioning and mechanical ventilation, automation, property development and civil and structural consultancy.
He is a GreenRE Accredited Professional, and sits on the committees of REHDA Youth and REHDA Pahang.

Certification and reporting are credential-driven work, and the practice is deliberately small, and everyone listed here works on projects directly. There is no delivery layer between the person you meet and the person doing the assessment.

Over 17 years of leadership across infrastructure, renewable energy, manufacturing and sustainability-led enterprises. Joined ESD GreenTech as Executive Director in 2024.
Advises on corporate governance, ESG integration and regulatory alignment, and led the GreenRE consultancy that took Menara KPKT to Gold. Enquiries sent through this site reach him.

More than nine years in sustainability consulting, and the practice’s lead on technical sales, usually the first person a developer speaks to.
She performs the energy savings simulation GreenRE requires for Gold and Platinum, which establishes before anything is built whether a design can reach its target.

Approximately ten years managing and facilitating green developments across every category the practice works in: residential, non-residential, industrial and township.
The GreenRE tools diverge sharply between categories. Knowing which argument wins points under which tool is the difference between a submission that scores and one that is merely complete.

Four years in environmental sustainability design, focused on commercial projects: shopping malls, hotels and office buildings.
Works across multidisciplinary design teams to turn sustainability targets into decisions each consultant can act on, and handles several of the practice’s key accounts.
